Ditto. Looks like this is just going to suck for everyone involved for a hot second. Not many mishaps with the Racks in the past. Looks to me like a bad batch of Transformers. To my knowledge those are outsourced for what it's worth.

Mine was 180903. Did your unit came packaged well as new, or like repackaged B-stock sold as new? It's quite strange two units produced day apart came two months apart. Especially as item seems to be out of stock quite constantly so no chance to sit at watehouse somewhere for so long. Is it from Thomann?

Are all of these bad units 230V versions? Should it matter? The serial and date code are 2 different things btw, not at all sure why these do not have them. Maybe that practice stopped? I can't say they are not related in some way but stlll not the same, at least on any of my things they are not.

    Hi Everyone,

Our apologies for not getting back to everyone sooner, but today I did receive word back from my Music Tribe colleagues regarding this issue so I'd like to share some details with everyone here who may have received one of these noisy X32 RACK units.

"We Immediately began looking into this after the issue was brought to our attention, and we've determined that a small number of X32 Rack power supplies were manufactured during 2018 using a suspected faulty component, resulting in a high pitched whistling noise when the X32 Rack is powered up. To ensure that future X32 Rack power supplies do not have this issue additional testing has been implemented at the factory before units start shipping again.

Any X32 Rack with this specific high pitched whistling noise should be returned to a Behringer Authorized Service Center nearest them for a repair under warranty. Of course, customers can always contact our CARE support team for additional help as needed."

Thank you for your patience and cooperation while we work to make this right.

need some help in The Netherlands with this problem.

Dealer replaced the first unit. Replacement has the same problem. We can keep doing this, but it'll drive us all crazy, so I'm trying to follow your instructions to the letter

I called the only Support option listed in The Netherlands and they nothing about this issue, or how to repair it yet. Furthermore, they require MusicTribe to authorize DOA replacement, or the fix, FIRST, which is not what's in your instructions They seemed to think that if MusicTribe wanted to send me a new one (so I can stop guessing whether or not the transformer is good), or to tell them how to fix and what it entails, including having parts on-hand, that's up to Behringer/Music Tribe.

At any rate, yeah... this isn't a great experience, it's costing me time and money. If I ignore the squealing transformer, then the X32 Rack is very useful and versatile. It has the additional benefit of making my full-size X32 just that much more useful.

Is there any danger to using these affected X32s while you guys sort out how to resolve? Transformer issues... what exactly is wrong and what's the risk to use in the interim?

    Many thanks!

Besides the high pitched noise coming from the unit, I'd expect it behave as any other X32 Rack would. (just with the added noise coming from the unit) So you shouldn't have any problems using it in the meantime until you are able to have your unit corrected by one of our authorized service centers.

    Hope that helps!
