UMC404HD - Problem with the device being recognized

    Hello dear Lads and Ladies,
    my problem is as follows:

I recently bought a UMC 404HD after I used the UMC202HD with my Neumann KMS105 which worked like a charm.
With the UMC 404HD I aimed to be able to use a guitar processor and several instruments easier without having to unplug the KMS105 all the time. But that is not the problem.

First I noticed that the green/yellowish lamp that signals input isnt as sensitive as the 202HD. Yes it lights up, but only after a louder input is given. But thats not a problem either, because I get an correct output.
ALTHOUGH the output level is pretty low in comparison. I am somewhat confused by that, but its okay AS WELL.

So now here my actual problem:
After I installed new drivers I noticed the problem with the split device (Line In/Out 1&2 as one Device each and Line In/Out 3&4 each as one).
After a quick google session I simply reinstalled the 3.29 driver and everything works again.
But yesterday I started recording a quick message via the Whatsapp App for Windows but it told me, that it didn't recognize any microphone. Same goes for the (new) Steam-Voicechat and in some games, although it works in some other games or softwares like Audacity, Discord, Teamspeak, Rising Storm 2, Overwatch, etc etc...
And now I am completely confused.

I know that the problem has not necessarily to do something with the UMC404HD or the related drivers, but I found nothing on this topic so far.

So if you have got any ideas on how to solve problem, I'd be glad to hear them.
    Thank you ppl!

    Addition:

I will try later - just for interest - if it works with the newer drivers.
Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't.

Sounds like this may be a potential driver conflict on your system.

You might try completely uninstalling ANY and all Behringer audio drivers you have previously installed on your system (whether UMC202HD or otherwise) then unplug the UMC404HD from your computer and reboot.

Once re-boot is complete, go to the Behringer website to re-download and install the latest 4.38 audio driver for UMC404HD. After that process completes THEN connect your UMC404HD and see if that helps.

If you're still having difficulties after that then I'd recommend contacting our CARE support team for further assistance. You can reach CARE by phone at 702-800-8290 (US) or +44 1562 732290 (UK) or send us an email to CARECREA@musictribe.com and one of our technical CARE specialists will be glad to help you in any way they can.
