Recording on a Macbook air with an X18

I realise that this question has probably been asked many times, but how can I get my mac (High Sierra) to recognise x air as an audio device?

    Hi Bruce,

Welcome to the forums. It's simple... Just plug it in. The X18/XR18 are core audio compatible so it should just show up in Audio MIDI Setup as an 18x18 audio device. If it shows up as a 2x2 you'll need to go into the mixer settings (using XAir Edit) and change the number of channels under Setup->Audio/Midi->USB Interface.

Let us know if you are still having trouble.

    Ken
