    Play Acoustic- vocal HP filter

Any way to role off the bass on the vocal to help with the proximity effect of the mic?

    Hey Marty,
Unfortunately no, this isn't a feature implemented in PlayAcoustic. The next step might be to experiment with other headphones/IEMs, or consider an in-line headphone equalizer. Cheers!

Thanks Spencer, but I am not using headphones. Connecting directly to a Bose powered speaker.

You might try different microphones. Sennheiser E935 has less proximity effect that my Shures, AKGs and other mics. I use the Sennheiser with the Play Acoustic to avoid this issue. I know it seems a bummer to have to get a special mic to work around it but I already had the E935 and I keep in mind the Play Acoustic is only a $300 gadget. Too bad though. Would be nice to have a simple low-cut button.

    Hi Tobias,
I started this thread in June. However a few weeks ago, I purchased the exact mic you recommend and you are correct - it does help and seems to have lower proximity effect.

Thanks for the input. It is good to know I made the best choice!
