    X-Live Card stops recording randomly

Looking back through this thread - this seems similar to the problem Adam Naylor is having - In my case, I was trying to record a live show last night and the X-Live SD card recording would stop at random times (I've included a shot of the screen - each of the sessions in the shot is where I had to restart it after it stopped recording). This is my first time encountering this problem… I am running a Midas M32 desk, and it and the X-live card have had all the latest updates. I formatted the SD card (32gb San Disk card) in the board before starting the show to make sure it was clean and empty. I have successfully recorded other shows on 3 different cards but haven't had a chance to swap in one of those to see if I got a flakey card - any suggestions? I really want to be able to use this for live recording of shows without having to hook up a computer each time, but after last night, not sure I can trust it yet.

    Thanks in advance

Update: X-live card stops recording randomly

For those who have a similar issue as outlined in my previous post, we seemed to have fixed by resetting the board - maybe something was going on in the background that was causing this issue.... we also updated to the new A12 firmware Behringer just released for the X-Live card - hopefully between these two things we won't see that issue again - we really love being able to record on sd cards.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

    Single/Folder

Installed an X-live in my Core and it seemed that I no longer have the option to change from single to folder on USB playback on my iPad as that tab had gone. Fortunately I had a computer with me and could do it from there but is it now somewhere else on the iPad app?

Is that for playing back from the X-Live or from the stereo USB stick source?

He's talking about the USB RECORDER section of the iOS app, and unfortunately I'm now seeing the same thing. You can select individual tracks located in the stick's root directory, but anything else isn't able to be seen/selected via the X32/M32 Mix iPad Apps.

So thank you for pointing this out. I'll pass this along to our developers for future consideration.

X32-Core encoders not working with X-Live SD Recorder

I got my X-Live today, installed into my X32-Core, updated both (A12 and 3.0.9). Everything seems to be working fine except for one thing. I mapped the encoder switches 5 and 6 to SD Recorder > SD Stop and SD Recorder > SD Record so that I can start and stop recording from the front of the X32-Core.

The mapping looks right (and is similar to what I did for the USB recorder). But pressing the encoders has no effect. The lights don't change, and the SD Recorder does nothing.

Is this a known defect? Or is there something I need to do in the X-Live setup to enable encoder control?

    Hello,
Congrats for the X-Live (it's a great board). There may be bugs or restrictions [I don't know].

How did you program the buttons? using the interface from the screen or using OSC commands?
If you use Paul's tools or X32_Command, can you inquire the value of the button and verify it's what you expect? (alternatively you can find this information out of a scene file from your Core after having programmed the buttons).
I'll double check tonight the behavior (and doc...) is correct as I have a small doubt on the actual format for the OSC command ("Ux" vs. "Uxx", page 118).

[edit] pff... no screen on Core. So you programmed it from X32-edit?

    Hello,

As I thought when reading the doc, there was a small mistake p 118. now fixed in ver 0.90 of the new release available from my website.

Using X32_Command, sending the following OSC command:

    Code:
    /config/userctrl/A/btn/5 ,s "U00"
effectively sets button 5 to "SD STOP". And when the SD card is in PLAY mode, pressing button 5 does stop it. At least with the Standard X32.

Looks like a bug, X32_command works ok, I can see the SD Stop getting set on the button in the GUI, but pressing the button has no effect. Works fine with the USB recorder though, been doing that for the last three years.

    Possible Bug with Assign Keys?

    Hey there,

first of all, I don't have the X32 Live Card in my X32 Core installed. Nevertheless, I want to use the new channel routing function in combination with the assign buttons for fast switching to USB-interface playback and vice versa. In XEdit it is possible, but the assign buttons on the console do nothing. See the video for further details:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ogW...ature=youtu.be

Is it possible to activate the switch, even if the card is not installed?

    Thanks.
