UCA222 Green Power Light Randomly Stopped Working ??

    Hi all,

I was trying to configure the UCA222 to my new dell windows 10 machine as my previous windows 7 machine I had configured with the UCA222 died.
Unfortunately whilst trying to set it up, the green USB power light stopped working, and obviously as the same time the device itself stopped working too, is it probable the UCA222 is now also scrap ?
I've tried rebooting the laptop, plugging the UCA222 into all 3 USB ports but there is still no green light

    Any help greatly appreciative.
    Thanks
    Ben

    Hi Ben,

Welcome to the forums. I'm afraid to say it but sounds like it's dead as well. The power LED is the first thing that should come on. Just as a final check you could try plugging it into a small wall wart USB charging brick to see if the LED comes on but I suspect not.

    Time to go shopping.

Instead of doing that try connecting the UCA222 to another computer's USB port and see if it comes on. If it shows no signs of life after that then it very well might be time for a repair/upgrade.

Thank you for the replies Ken & Michael.

I know I shouldn't be asking this question on a behringer forum post, but is there any other higher end USB audio interfaces I could now look at as an alternative option, I have upto circa 300 to spend.

    Thanks

    No problem Ben.

I suggest you check out our U-PHORIA UMC Audio Interface products as those are a very nice upgrade from the UCA222. Which one will work best for you will depend on how many input channels you need and the application you will be using for it.
